Mine runs 75mph with very mild 650HP's and IMCO drives. I wrote the boat off years ago as being slow and thought that it would never respond to updated power and drives. I was wrong. The boat has had some weight taken out of it and with mild power is a lot of fun to drive in rough water.

course i'd be partial to the line of the s type scarabs; not much of a fan of the flat deck boats. its gotta be said though that the rigging of the wellcrafts and chris crafts and formulas generrally needs to be brought up to a better standard along with hull deck attachment. that's what make for great projects though.

What speeds could you expect out of an old 38 Flat Deck Cig with the 454's? Thats alot of boat for the price.

You might see 60mph. But it would get my vote for WAVE CRUSHER.

Yup That's it. He did a nice job putting it together. But as all boat owners.................I tweak it some more. I'll still take an offer if you wish....................

Figured youd have to run some BIG power to move that thing. I'd guess the weight to be around 10K. Definately a wave crusher.
