Re: My new boat has arrived
The current motor is actually a little too new,it's a 1968.I have a period correct 1963 that need exstensive rebuildiing, have all the parts but is time and labor intensive. The 1968 is perfect, original spark plugs  and perfect compression. It will do till I get the 1963 redone. I can email pics to someone who knows how to post. Robert

Robert , one of my fondest memories was a couple mile race between this , with me and a buddy in it and a G3 with a 6 cyl Merc. Don't know what HP just that it was a 6. He had the speed to get past me but it was on a twisty turning little creek maybe 60 to 100 feet wide. Every time he tried to get past me , we would go into a turn and my wake would get him in the rear quarter and he'd have to slow down and get back inside my wake again. Being a Formula dealer you should appreciate this pic. In case you can't make it out...It's a Thunderbird

Re: My new boat has arrived
Robert's "new" 63 looks like it was hermetically sealed for about the last 40 years. I doubt I'll ever see another G-3 this nice. :)

Re: My new boat has arrived
Funny thing it has a 40 hp cowling,but it's a 60. Surely this doesn't mean that T2x would cheat :drink: Just kidding,Rich. :p
