Re: 120k to spend for boat

what is out there? Does Donzi 38 have 6' cabin? I can't think of anything for 120k w/525's that will do 85...seems like a challenge. :fish:

An older Sonic might fit the bill except for the speed you require.

Have a 38 Hustler. [Too much money. too little headroom]

Have a 36 Outlaw[too little money, don't know about the headroom] :(

Re: 120k to spend for boat

I think it will be a challenge to find a boat with that much headroom and can still do 85mph with twin 525s.

Our 40' Hustler has 6'3" headroom, but will only do mid 70s with twin 500s. Even the 38 Donzi or 38 Fountain SC will give you the headroom, but will not hit that speed. I think most boats in this class are running a lot slower than 85 mph with twin engines. You could look for something with triple engines and then you should be closer to 85.

Good luck on the search.

know of a 35 formula, runs around 85 i think. twin hp 500's, stand off boxes, xr's, tri-axle myco, rite around that price.

Get a good Top Gun.

Anything else like a Fountain you'll get butt-fuc@ed in depreciation.

Re: 120k to spend for boat

A 45 foot Sonic with triple 500s should be close to meeting all requirements I'd think.

Talk to boat owners who run Florida offshore poker runs to the Bahamas about his choice of boat.

Check the ads here, there is a Sonic 42 and 45 that should fit the bill.

You can try this. It has 6ft of headroom in the galley area but gets a little shorter as you go forward to the v-berth. Lots of storage area too.

That 36 looks awesome. He did a nice job throughout the whole thing! Whats with all the extra stuff on the trailer? Is he afraid it was going to fall off?
