I worked many Holidays when I worked in the Power Plant business. My hat's off to all those that have to work this weekend.

Going on 3 hours of sleep in the past 24 hours but it's worth it to see your kiddo enjoy Christmas.

I'm a Fireman until 7am. 
In fact I've worked 88hrs in the last week because one of the other Capts blew his knee out. Lots of OT for the other 3 of us. At least he did it in the winter He should be back by May then I'll take almost every weekend off again this summer

Not only am I on duty today, but was on duty yesterday and will still be on duty tomorrow.
Regular shifts are Christmas eve and the day after Christmas, but I'm working today in place of a firefighter that has two young ones at home that are at that perfect age for Santa.
72 straight through sucks, especially through Christmas. But, that same firefighter is working for me New Years eve so I can go out and party with the Lake Perry Gang.
It all works out.
