Default loto property advise

I'm currently looking for a lake front vacation home and know nothing about the lake area. I would use it as a rental since I cann't get there more than a few times each year. Any advise would be appreciated. I'm not into the party scene so a quiet part of the lake would be best and of course a large dock is necessary. Thanks Doug

Thanks for the responds guys. I would like to stay in the 250,000 to 400,000 range depending on the house. Where is the best value, hottest real estate for an investment? I really am leaning toward a home, not a condo. Thanks Doug

Since you mentioned not being into the party scene, and wanting a quiet part of the lake I would consider property/house further up lake than has been menioned. Altho there are quiet coves down in the areas previously mentioned, the channel can be trecherous on weekends. How far up lake you ask? Well you can't really get to far away from it, since its all moving up this way. I'm at the 38MM and thought I was going to be in quiet water. Send me an email and I'll be happy to discuss things further up lake since I moved down from the 67MM.

If your wanting to rent, the hottest rental market are the condos at ledges at 20.5 mm, up the lake that far will be tough to get a 40' dock and your rental income will be alot less. I have a 3 bedroom condo at ledges with loft, 1400plus square footage, totally furnished, I also have a 40' slip and hoist pwc slip. hoist and 2004 sea doo gtx, my unit would rent in the 260-275$, per night from april 30- oct 1 the slip is what makes it valuble, everyone is looking for 40' slips. I would sell mu unit for 179,000 furnished or 169,000 not furnished, 40' slip and 12,000 hoist 30,000 pwc slip hoist 2500$ seadoo 6,000, It is also all the way in the back of the cove no waves, next to pools. docks are right below unit on water. If you want a house 3600 cat has a great house for the money, wiggler 636 236-4141

Thanks again guys, I'm learning. Please send any e-mails to [email protected]. I booked a flight in to check out the area for the end of May but could bump the trip ahead if need be. Thanks again. Doug
