Torco makes a octane booster that actually does what it claims, Eikert speaks highly of it, I ran it im my boat all year, 1 qrt. to 20 gallions of 93 takes it to 98, 1qrt. to 15 gal takes to 101, 1qrt to 10 gal makes it 104, also has lead in it!

I bought a bottle of that 104 brand booster one time to just see what it would do, I even mixed a little more than it called for, sent it off and had it checked for octane, raised it one point. I know thats just one brand and others may be o.k just be careful and don't trust it does what it says.

There's an old thread her by Mcollinstn, about octane boosters. If I remember correctly, it's just Toulene that you can buy by the gallon at Home Depot. Do a search on Toulene, and you should find it. It's a very informative post, by the smartest man ever on Oso!

OH BOY.....I did a lot of research on this...the stuff you buy that treats 20 gal....example 104+... only raises .01 percent...you need a 10% mixture..."HOME BREWS" work...octane boost is toulene...mineralsprits ..and trans. fluid....I have the formula if anyone needs it....and lots of info...

I need to clarify Race fuel concentrate not octane booster, the 104 plus is junk, if you notice on their bottles they no longer claim how many points it will raise the octane, I am firmly sold on the Torco!!

The Torco also works well for us ,we mix 5 gallons to 200+ gallons of 93 and our plugs always look great!
We are currently adding the new Keith Eichart copper core inner coolers to my Cat's blown 565ci motors in hopes of running straight 93 this spring.
I am hoping they work, because adding volatile additives every weekend not only gets old, but when splashed raises hell and stains your gel coat.

Dennis, Citco 110 leaded in the barrel with 93 mix should do. I know storage will be a concern but its the best way. I am getting a tank and pump for my truck to pump directly to the boat. You can pump into 5 gallon cans. Maybe work out something with a local service station.
