I just tried. The fog on the St. Johns was so thick you couldn't see the middle of the river never mind the other bank. Turned around and went home :mad: At least I get in 10 minutes of boating in a t-shirt :D

Despite clouds and fog, it was a great day on the water in Southwest Florida today. Being my first year in Florida, it's amazing going boating on New Year's Day! :D No more staring out the window at a shrink-wrapped boat with snow on top! :eek:

BTW, I saw a "parade" of fellow powerboaters running down the Caloosahatchee River (on the "Miserable Mile"). It looked like a Poker Run of some sort. There were some very nice boats. Who put that one together?

I felt like I missed out for about 1 second...till I realized I'm boating in January, and that is unbelievable! :p
