Did Scarab ever make a 50' hull?

Saw a boat that said scarab on it at loto on blocks, did'nt know they made a 50' its not rigged, would it be worth anything? owner wants to get rid of it before they put the overpass in right over top of it.

Scarab Meteor = 50'. Don't know anything about them, other than that they are huge.

HUGE is right. I was at a boat auction in NJ about 2 years ago, and they had a 50' Scarab with triple gas motors. They claim it was Vince McMahon's of WWF fame. It didn't sell......I couldn't imagine paying the gas bill back then

The Wellcraft 50' Scarab Meteor was also available with Caterpillar diesels.
It was in production from 1987 to 1992. She has a 9' 4" beam and with triple gas and TRS weighed around 14,000 lbs.
Arnesons came with the 420 hp 3208 TA Cats. I don't know if Larry Smith built any of these.

Theres one about 3 miles down the road, its been sitting with no power for about 8-10 years now. Owned by a friend from years ago, its huge down below but I wouldn't exactly call them an offshore racer. It had triple 502s and he claimed did 70 - no way. It was rare that he had 2 motors running never mind 3. He's a big talker and for 5 years claimed had 575's for it, it was going to do 90.... .... He tried listing it for 90K without power, its gut the fugliest paint job and called Tsunami. you can buy one complete with diesels for lot less than that. It is the Pimp Daddy for bringing broads back to it after a night of bar hopping / Buy it as a condo and sleep on it on week-ends.

i think wellcraft used the name on this model to go after the people who wanted both worlds, big and heavy, not exactly fast though

One of the wildest things I ever saw at a race- A car dealer here used to have one of those with triple 454 420's in it. Ran about 60-which in 1990 wasn't too shabby. Well tech tells him he cant race unless the windshield is covered or removed. So they decide to remove it-with a hammer. Just broke the sucker off, right there in the parking lot, thousands of dollars worth of windshield. He had a state of the art nav system in this thing and word was he ran the whole race on autopilot. I never saw him throttle it, just left them on the stops and let it eat :D
