will a anti ice bubbler keep barnacles from forming on a hull?

im buying a lil donzi type runabout and plan on leaving it in the water behind my house on some weekends and was wondering if a bubbler would help prevent banacles from forming if the water is always moving? any ideas guys, bottom paint is out of the question, thx ratman

Yeah, i don't think the bubbler would make any difference at all. Just buy a small lift. I think they even make davit systems that could handle an 18'er.

Lift should be easy to come by in your area.

Letting any boat with outdrives in salt water does not seem like a great idea to me.

Actually the moving water might make them grow more, they depend on water movement to bring them food :D :D

Don't know the answer to the barnacle question, but if the bottom is left as white gelcoat it will develop a horrible water line stain in a matter of days.

A bubbler will actually make it worse from what i am told! As far as i know barnicals like when water move across them because that is the only way that they can "eat" so to speak, is have the food come to them! that is why they are always places where there is a fair current or a place that has a fair tide just my input ??
