Horba needs a website.
Where all registered boats can be seen.
A classifieds would be great too!

There were a lot of race boats built......for example, at the 1980 Benihana race with four classes, Open, Sports, Modified and Production, there were 77 boats that raced that day.

Here is an old 27 foot Magnum and a 36 foot Cigarette.

What about "Bounty Hunter?" When I lived in North Jersey, it was still behind Billy Martin's furniture store on Rt. 22. Last time I asked about it here, someone said that it was still there, but looked like it had some new hardware haginng off the transom??

Thanks for the great response so far with your e-mails. I think this is an idea that the time is right for.

My son and I are involved in Historic Sportscar Racing and when we see all those great old race cars with deep history, we always end up talking about offshore boats.......how would you like to be able to see the original Cigarette that Don was flying back in those pictures from 1970?

I am sure there are treasures out there just waiting. The real value in these boats will come from having today's fans be able to see and understand just what the old guys had to race with, sometimes for 500 miles.

I'd love to, just can't find it. There have been several threads trying to find it's whereabouts but with no luck. Any ideas?

Remember that there were a couple of those boats. Don had one in the states an another in Europe. The Carr brothers bought one and were killed in it in Australia. The boat was then bought by Arnold Glass, and after that I don't know.

The European one was bought by Vincenzo Balesteri and campaigned in Europe as Black Tornado. I emailed his son a while ago, but he didn't have any knowledge of where the boat went after his dad sold it.

Another boat out of that mold was the 32 Beep Beep that ran in sports class with a different deck on it.
