A - My boat doesn't go fast enough to necessitate one.
B - It's to heavy to throw anything (except a huge wake).
C - If I fly out and survive, my wife will kill me.
My wife always wears one because she is a weak swimmer, and I encourage any passengers to wear one, but I am too cool for that.

I haven't done any poker runs, but i never wear my life jacket and don't even have a kill switch lanyard. And what's a lifeline?
My boat only goes 60ish though, and if it's at all rough or i'm hauling ass, i'm sitting with my knee wedged under the dash.

I lost a good friend about 12 years ago that exact same way. A board in the water jammed up in between the transom and the outdrive and cocked it one way, throwing all of them in the water. The boat ended up hitting him after about 30 minutes. Two girls survived but were hit by the props. They found my friend about 3 days later.

I installed my lanards (kill switch) last year. Ordered it from Trick Marine
