Ilmor 625?

Anyone here personally own this motor. I am thinking about doing a pair of these in a new Donzi 38 ZR. I am curious about the service needed on them and how reliable they have been. How many hours can they go between rebuilds? The magazines seem to love them. Will they be as reliable as Merc 525s? Thanks for any feedback. Mike

Great motors. Very strong and durable. More torque than the Mercury's and also 300 lbs lighter. They stand behind the product and have great customer service. ILMOR all the way. We have seen some quality control issues over the past year with Mercury 525 product as well.

The local dealership here for Donzi seems to love the Ilmors. I will have to drive a boat with them. Do you know anything about the service for them?
