I'm told these are areas where metal has been added after the initial casting process to address perocity issues. That's another reason I don't care for the polished version.

What's up with that discoloration? What's the cause?

I am in for (2), just need to figure out 1" or 2", probably better to go 2" and space down 1" ?? How much each are the spacers??
I would love to go Polished, but since I am doing this to p/u speed, I can't see going polished if they are actually slower/stickier than the satin
