Only in a dream world could you get a "complete" turn-key imco lower for that price. The bare hsg w/vert shaft for 1799$ is a good price, the extra 300$ was putting YOUR good used gears, bearings, prop shaft, prop shaft carrier, lock nut etc in the case. Maybe tmp was going to throw in the prop carrier o-ring and load ring but being realistic they couldn't include the rest of the parts,Smitty

I called max machine, jason is supposed to call me back on a group purchase but he was talking 2800$ for a bare case plus 5 or 6 hundred for their shaft so you can't compare their prices to a Imco,Smitty

for 300 you get all that I agree with smitty, your old stuff set up. I think a new prop shaft would be about 600. art

I went from standard length sportmasters to -2 imco polished shorties and picked up 5 mph on my 38 Fountain fever running 525 efi's. I'm happy as heck with them, although my water pressure shot through the roof. Looks like I'll need to add relief valves and sea strainers next season after switching to the imco's.
