is the outdrive a bravo one? is so yes. also if you plan on 650 horse, you might want to consider upgrading your upper unit as well. i no there is a group purchase they are doing on a 2in shortie.

The Outdrive Is A Bravo One However I'm Not Sure What The Ratio Is... Does The Lower Or Upper Unit Determine The "ratio"? Or A Combination Of Them And Is A 1" Or 2" Better On This Boat? I'll Grenade The Upper Later And Cross That Bridge When It Comes Along. Is The Lower Units A Direct Bolt On And If So What To Look Out For For Problem Areas?
Thanks For All And Any Help...

A) your drive ratio is 1.5-1

B) the ratio is determined by the upper gears

C) you attitude is great if you want to support you local drive tech.....when you wipe the upper what do you think will happen to your brand new lower?????

D) most aftermarket lowers are direct boltons

if you are dropping that much coin for a imco shorty lower, then i would definitely recommend putting in new upgraded upper gears. i know you can get both the upper gears, and shorty lower at www.cpperformance.com id see about the group purchase, or you may want to contact trickmarine.
I'm not sure whether the 1 or 2 in would be better. you would want to talk to some owners of the same hull to see their results.

Have you ran the boat yet to see how it performs? 1993 x dimensions were probably a little different than how things are viewed today. You might get by going up a bit.

X dimension has to be figured different on single engine cats vs. twin I would imagine. Call Eliminator and talk to Kenny. 800-306-3343

Skegs can be repaired by the way.

There is a group purchase forming right now, look in gen disc sect.

That Was A Great Line And I'll Drop Delaminator A Call, It Drives Out Ok However A Little Loose Due To The Digger In The Skeg I Could Repair It.... But Would Rather Bolt A New Unit On...plus Wtf Is Up With All Of The 42 Color Gelcoat On The Boats Of That Era?
