It's ours now thanks to my dad's friend Bill Gazell-- he says this boat has won more than 100 + races ! What a piece of history. The boat is a 1988 that Bill built new & raced. I drove it today with him on the throttles---- WOW--- what a ride !!!!!

Congratulations to our HORBA Board member, Lucky Strike. He didn't wait around too long to find a great boat with a lot of history.

One of the things that LS Jr. didn't mention, was that his dad LS, had a lot to do with the many wins the Great Adventure team had in the early years. He was part of the original crew.

Excellent purchase Steve. I look forward to seeing that boat at one of our upcoming events.

It is a 1988 31 foot Sutphen Spirit. Total race layup built for Bill Gazell who has owned and raced it since new & won many many national & world championships with it Also the offshore kilo record holder for many years.

This is the third " GREAT ADVENTURE " race boat that I have been fortunate enough to acquire,and even more fortunate to have throttled all three of these boats for Bill Gazell many times.

I feel this was a definite LUCKY STRIKE !
