I have had the 4th if there is such a thing since it was built. To my knowledge Dennis Ferrar only built 3) 12 Meter Fountains with Arneson's.
I never saw a 10 Meter.... First one (probably 1986) and then a second matching pair painted with Gold Stripes and Matching Bolsters 1987. One with Aluminum Motors and one with Steel Motors and Aluminum Heads. Dennis showed his Ferrar 100 PLUS boat at the Boston High Performance Boat Show along with an array of Ferrar Built Engines the second year that I helped him market his product. The boat with the aluminum engines went to Florida and I traded my 1985 12 Meter with 600 HP Big Blocks, TRS Drives, and a boxed pair on Arneson ASD8 Drives for the second Ferrar 100 PLUS boat. It had 698 Cubic Inch Motors with a pair of 1150 Holley's on Tunnel Rams and Aluminum Heads. They made close to 900 HP at the time and over 800 FT Lbs of Torque. Since then I have customized the boat and swapped out the tunnel rams for blowers. Greg Abbate |
