Cool Skater 32B props

I read Skater 32B test in the latest Powerboat. Did you see the pitch on the props? 39" (with 1.26 gears)!. What do you suppose idle speed is?

acording to the calculator "theory " it would idle at 29 mph !! Even at 20% slip would be 23mph ! Not much fun around the dock ,huh !

I'm thinking that prop size is a typo ... maybe it should have read 29"

At first I thought typo too, but if you do the math, to go 115 at 4500 RPM, 39" is close.

But that would have the Slip factor at around 15% ... seem like a high slip factor for a Skater running over 100 mph

Agreed. Maybe it's really somewhere in between: like a 36? Regardless, wish I could run 115 at 4500!!!

Yeah ,that artical has to be wrong .I have 1.36 gears and 17x31 or 32 (I forget which) and I have a 39' 11,000 lbs boat. NOT a Skater !
