Who did you talk to? Was it John at Voyager Marine? He is one of the best.

I've got the same model. Happy with it and paid about that much without the chip last year. This year your price is OK since it's a discontinued model but if you look around you may do a little better.

I personally like the 192c. I think it is better since you dont need the chips. And boaters world sells the 192c now for $699.99.

BobbyB why would you need a gps ? That's right to let you know your still on the trailer in the parking lot at the tiki bar.

Correct, 192 is the new one. I actually like the graphics on the 182c better. However, the data base in the 192 is out of sight.

The 192 requires NO chips. However, they gave me a price of $899.oo.

LOL Hey Bobby-you gonna be in Richmond???

I agree on the 192c. I need to pick up one for the Formula and it looks like that'll be the one to get, no more messing with chips.

Of course next year they will probably have one with about 10 times more memory for 100 bucks less

Tom, did you clean the screen with Windex? Windex removes the anti reflectance coating off the screen.

Fine print, gets ya every time.

You can get a brand new 182C for 681.71 to 699.19.
Go here, http://www.boatfix.com/elec/garmin1.asp
and scroll down until you find the 182C, and click on "Instant Quote"

So with the chip (about 150), yes it sounds like a good deal.

(BTW, Boatfix has great prices on most boating goods. )
