IMCO xtreme sc

I'm building a 496 blown motor and Ive been trying to find the best drive for my money,I was considering IMCO,however, I have found some threads saying they ere breaking with blown motors with @ 700-800 hp, and they all say that it happens around 20-30hrs. has anyone heard of this.

800...Prop it way up there so your spinning them as fast as your motors WOT will allow.

Yes, it is but IMCO rates the drives to 800 hp/tq behind a 10,500 lb boat, that's the problem.

Why rate it that high if it doesn't do what it's supposed to do? You're better off with XR's that are set up properly and cost half as much to replace if something goes wrong. Plus you're boating the very next day because parts are readily available.

I'd trade for XR's any day. :drink:
