Skip was the guy that I spoke to several times. He had a 1990 Formula 272 with 2001 500efi's. It looked good in the pics, but had scratches all over the ENTIRE bottom, the drives were eaten up (no pics), and the trailer had a wheel nearly taken of yet he claimed it had only been used in the yard for the boat. Overall the boat looked like it had been run hard and "put up wet". What really pizzed me off was the price jumped up 6K when I arrived after I had spoken to him the day before. He said it was because 3 weeks earlier they had put a whole new cockpit interior in the boat (which was true) and he needed to get that money back.

the funny thing is a local bought the boat six months after I was up there. He paid near what I originally offered after seeing the condition it was in. (and he put alot of work into it after he got it)

Naaa... different guy.
Whomever I spoke with had no idea that MRD was even nearby.
Whatever... one bad episode does not make a bad broker.
I still stand by my statement of getting the most updated info you can.

agreed.
I got the impression my deal with MRD was unusual and that they rarely even get involved with selling boats anyway. I think it was one of those raw deals Skip would rather not have gotten involved with either.

Nah, we're going "family-friendly", probably in either a 280 or 330 Formula Sunsport, if I can find the right deal. If not, I'll just keep the PQ for a few more years.
