LOTO Memorial Non-Gaunlet
 

Are there any members that frequent LOTO but do not participate in the Gauntlet?

I don't run the Gauntlet much anymore, but it is fun once in a while.

yes, i actually prefer to anchor more out in the middle of PC. i feel it is easier on my boat. you don't have people wanting to pass from boat to boat as bad. you don't have to worry about people constantly spraying your women with "water cannons." if you need to leave or squeeze another boat in, it isn't a big deal when you are out in the middle.

some of the best times i have had at LOTO haven't even been at Party Cove.

I dont think I've gone through or parked in the gauntlet line for years. I'm tired of the water guns, water baloons, novice/drunk/rental boat drivers, drunks on the houseboats, etc. So I usually park somewhere else and take my Sea Doo over to visit.

Nice to hear from you guy maybe we can all meet up with the others who do the Gauntlet
and shore up the members challenge with the other coast.We could then find a less damaging spot in the cove. Keep em coming.

you may not find as much "action" as you would on the gauntlet but its defenitly less stressfull!

Ditto. The lake has a lot to offer other than PC. And being around loud drunks is tiring.

Especially that A-hole with the f*%cking whistle.

Out running fast in the rough is were the fun is. :D :D

But I have to agree.....I HATE those stinking water guns!! :mad:

Whew~~ I thought everyone might, have thought I was being a prude, when I said I didn't care to go into the deepest of the party cove.
My point was the really sick Chit. It's one thing to flash & walk around w/out a top off...but, some stuff is just plain grose!!
Amy~ I used the water gun's last yr. to help out the OSO men...They were handing out beads to females that showed their chest's in the gauntlet...and I politely, said..."Hey, if you flash these guys...they'll give you beads...and if they didn't flash...Up came a water cannon out of the water!!
The gauntlet doesn't seem to be a place to show your boats, if you know what I mean!! :D ;)

I am FAR from being a prude, but i know what you mean. So are you going to do the same thing this year? I'll help out our fellow OSO boys with you! LOL! :D :D

Amy~ I won't be going into the gauntlet at all...or into the deep part of the party cove...if we even go. Not sure when we are going down to the factory, but actually since, we have to pick up the boat and will be in Florida...I'm hoping that we will just spend the extra time there. Unless, we pick it up way before Memorial Day and have Best Revenge back home...Then, head down to LOTO. Never know...But, would love to get together with everyone!! :D

The last time I tied up in the gauntlet, I got a $100+ repair bill from my gelcoat guy to get a cigarette burn out of my bow. Sure wish I would have seen the jerk do that, there would have been some smack down! :mad: A couple times before that, a speaker got shorted out by a squirt gun. :mad:

Between all that and general paranoia over my custom paint job, I just hang out in the middle with my friends and aqua-scoot over to the guantlet.

This year I think I'm going to try an inflatable kyak. Those kyak's are fun in the cove, and this way I can deflate it for storage. :cool:

I'm all for tying up outside the Gauntlet. Easier on the boat (and it's getting old now). Twright's 3 man outboard Seebold will be the ticket to run the gauntlet. Big bilge pumps!!! We should get all the OSO boats together somewhere in the middle of the cove, a row or two away from the gauntlet. I enjoy watching the boats nearly as much as the breasts!!!! Besides, we're going to have SO MANY OSO people at LOTO, we'll have our own big bash!!!!!

But, I will be making a trip or three thru the gauntlet on the tunnel boat!!!!

For a nice mild day, tie up in the golf course cove by the new toal bridge and watch the pros try and hit the ball over the water, 3 holes from one spot. we sat there on weekend and I got over 1 dozen golf balls out of the water.

Great place to hang if you do not want to watch drunks, and you can still see the main channel to watch the big boys run fast.

I too must agree, even though it will fuel the Havasu Groups cause. The Gauntlet gets a bit out of hand sometimes. The water balloon slingshots and the water canons have gotten old. God Knows I havent :D

Here's a story: My first time to LOTO/Party Cove and I figure what the heck I'll just drive right down that nice little row of 200 something boats tied together--kinda like cruisin' in the Chevelle at Street Machine Nationals.So my boat is immaculately clean this being my first trip and all to LOTO so I start in and all is good for about a couple hunderd feet or so--then "It" happens. Water from every direction soaking the entire boat(it felt good because it was very hot out)but then I'm thinking about all the hours I spent detailing this thing and I started to get mad. But then I looked at my friends and they were absolutely having a blast with the whole thing!! I figured then I needed to fight back so I got out the Giant squirt gun I had on board, gave the wheel to a buddy and commenced firing upon my opponents. I have not laughed that hard in a long time--I was reloading 3 times faster than they were. It was a riot. Will I do it again? Probably not in my boat but I will go down the Gauntlet some other way because its one of those things you just have to do!!

The last time I was at the cove I tied up behind 2 pontoon boats that were part of a bachelor party.They let me hang out with them. Little did they know what I had in mind. Now I was one of those guys waiting for the boats with babes to come down the Gauntlet so I could blast em!!

I will definitely be tieing up off the main action this Memorial Day though!!I have a buddy who is bringing a large raft so we'll run through with that complete with my powered firehose I am going to rig up!!
