Re: Latest from the $MC website
Lab-Finished Performance prop = $1000
Manatee = $0 Simple arithmetic. I as well have never hit a manatee, nor have I ever encountered anyone who has. It's baffling. |
Re: Latest from the $MC website
I have seen them munching on vegatation in the small brackosh canals of Noth Miami Beach/Sunny Isles/Maul Lake, circa 1980
They would munch on leaves in small residentail canals, the kind of canals that would always be no wake due to residentail concern for property damage and quiet I never saw any in the ICW, but then again that was when there were few No Wake Zones and I never went slow enough in the ICW to see one anyway. |

Dregz, Did you check out www.cffw.org? I really don't get the point/statement you are trying to make in first post or this one? Bottom line is that: Yes, it is troublesome to see Manatees with prop/strike scars, BUT the fact of the matter is that the $MC won't take on the BIG COMMERCIAL VESSEL industry in FL, who are the real Manatee maulers! So the $MC has blamed on the problem the recreational boater and gotten away with for years! And that was because until a few years ago, we Fl. recreational boaters were too UNORGANIZED to put up any defense to these false $MC accusations.! But, now we have organizations like CFFW and Standing Watch who are representing both boaters and the Manatee interests. And the FFWCC is finally using REAL science instead of $MC propagnada in evaluating the TRUE Status of the Manatee in the state of Fl.! If you REALLY want to help the Manatee situation here in FL. join CFFW @ www.cffw.org and you will help the Manatee and boaters here in Fl. Thanks, Dean |
