the boat is the same but phil puts in a little more love than most.. paint, interior and you might see a pair of zuls in there... most of the lip ship boats really stand out vs the other boats of its time.... im sure you will hear more on this from the lip ship boys.... stecz

When you look at my wiring for example you can see a big difference in neatness and detail vs some of some of the factory rigged boats.
In-fact a few years back one of the Phils riggers recognized my Gun , one of only seven Kevlar 97 Gun's produced that year and had been a part of rigging her.
He was very proud of his creation, and he gave me some additional insight in regards to their standards. At least at the time of my boats rigging!

I've surveyed both and the Lip-Ship Edition has the little things that count down the road. The attention to details seems better and Phil knows to order the right options. The special embroidery announcing that the boat is a Lip-Ship edition has a certain snob appeal among Cigarette owners.

Phil monitors the building of one of his babies and nothing is left to chance.

So are the hulls the same weight? From looking at used boats it seems that Lipship editions are claiming higher speeds with same power? Could that be from better props/more dialing in time?

Thanks
WILL

Some of the differences you might see, at least it was on my rig compared to others of the same model I have seen...

-Embroidery is a nice touch for use snobs!
-Water pick up is from the bottom and not the drives
-He puts the swim platforms lower than most so they are actually functional when your swiming.
-Plumbs the drive pickups to work as drive showers.
-All through-hull fittins are Keikaffer instead of cheaper bent metal fittings.
-Special paint on the valve cover and flame arrestor.
-Dockside engine flush system with cut-offs from outside water. You can fresh water flush your engines at the dock in salt water.
-Match Painted Battery boxes.
-All braided hoses on the engine.
-Porta Pottie toilet seat encrusted in diamonds so you won't take a dump in a Lip-Ship...

Last one might be embelished a little.

Hope this helps.

we have a 95 lipship gun and my buddy have a 95 rigged by someone else.
the hull #s 3 apart. our gun is in much better shape and when you put the 2 boats side by side you can see alot of differences.
if you are looking use Ed Cozzi to do the survey.
he helped us out alot. he was able to point out all the differences beteen a lipship boat and another dealers boat.
I have heard people say that lipship is a builder and other people are just dealers.
now after owning our gun for a year, I know what they are talking about.
