I've read lots of the stuff you post. For a while, I thought, well, it's an older boat, things happen. Well, at some point, you cross a line. The line is in a different place for everyone, but you are much more patient than lots of people on this board would be.
I think people are trying to give you some friendly advice. You wanted to pay cash for a boat, but I can tell ya, I'd rather have a loan than your headaches.
Not dissin' ya, but it might be time for you to stop worrying about defending your boat and listen to what people are trying to say.
Two words. Trade in...to a dealer that is hopefully not reading the board.
Some guys like working on boats, but most of those do their own work and there's a "get another mile per hour" challenge in it. They chose to redo something that might already work.
Just sayin' Nick. That's all. I hope for the best for you in your situation, but I wouldn't have the patience you have had.

Guys... you have to see it... its a beauty... I love my boat. Its unique... there arent many of her kind left...
Teak floorboards, sidewalls, a real windshield with teak trim... a beautiful hull with not so much as a scratch on her... ALL ORIGINAL, just the way she rolled off the factory floor... down to the log exhaust...
its a piece of history man.
I would be betraying her to do sell her. If I dont have the patence, who will?
The hot rod rich boy I sell it to who will run her down to nothing, and throw her away when hes done...
Shell end up in a junk yard in 2 years... if I dont keep it.
I cant do it. I just cant! To hell with me.
