Re: Selling Boat--Repaint Trailer to help or not?
Thanks for the responses everyone...sounds like most feel the money would be better spent elsewhere. I think I'll just try to clean up the trailer as well as I can first and go from there.

Re: Selling Boat--Repaint Trailer to help or not?
Don't ask me. My trailer is sits in the garage with heavy blankets over it along the walk path to keep it from getting accidental scratches. ;)
Don't think I would go the full route if it is not really that bad, as I understand it. Most expect chips on a used trailer. You may not get your $ back for repainting, but it will help in selling the rig. |
Re: Selling Boat--Repaint Trailer to help or not?
Dave, most body shops don't like to work on trailers, because they are not setup to blast and paint them the right way. Over in the Milwaukee area, I got the fairest price quote for sandblasting the trailer, primer and then urethane enamel, from Superior Developments in Menomonee Falls. They specialize in all types of trailers. Ask for Mike Demerath, his number is 262-252-4023. I tenatively have someone interested in buying my boat, If the deal doesn't go through, I will use them to paint my trailer. Frank
