Marina's in Cin/KY area

Looking for suggestions for a good marina on the Ohio.
For the first year, I'm probably gonna have to rack store, or in water dockage w/ winter land storage. I'm not against the in water dockage.
What kind of $$ am I looking at for the season and storage??

You dont want "In Water" on the Ohio river...TRUST ME !
Harbor Town In Dayton KY has trailer in/out....Depending on the boats size.
around a grand. I think thats about it on the Ky side ?

yep yep, we would have to knock the barnacles and chit off the drives every year on the ohio......just bring your boat to cumberland already :drink:

What he said!

The only rack storage I know of is the old anderson ferry marina on the ohio side below delhi. I am blanking on the latest name of it.

Rack storage = Mandy's landing, great people down there.

Best in water marina is Four seasons on the ohio side but no covered slips. Rivertowne has covered slip and is OK as well.

By all means stay away from watertown on the ky side - it is sooo shallow you will suck mud through your engines and the blocks will fill up - terrible place.

Watertown...I had the name wrong !....They dont believe in dreging anymore. There is also Rivertown on the Ohio side..Racks + In/Out service
Shelter cove..No racks but In/Out service..sits outside on your trailer.
Washington Marine...Outside + You launch

Don't have the boat yet - but SERIOUSLY considering.
No trailer in the deal, and without being able to take the two (boat + Trailer) might make it more difficult.
Probably cost me about $3000 for a trailer. I'd love to keep it in my backyard, but it might take a year before i have the $ to do that.

Is the Ohio that bad?? I used to leave my old boat in the Maumee. yes, it got scrungy, but it wasn't THAT bad.
Would I need to worry about the commercial boats (wake)??
The boat is a bit heavy for my truck, so I just want to get it here, and then shop for a truck over the next year.

Good God, I'm talking about throwing money in every direction. New boat, new truck, marina/dockage...

This boating thing is worse than Heroin - and my Dad got me hooked when I was 10.
Pusher.

If you do keep her wet..You MUST be off the river !...The boat wakes will beat the snot outa her....Only 2 places with rack storage...both mentioned, both ohio side...One up river..one down river...

What are you looking at ?

I've got a Scarab in mind.
I live on the high side of the hill of Rte. 8 in Hebron, I can drive down the "goat paths" in 5 mins and be on the water, but I would never try to trailer down there
There are some marinas down that way, and seems more like commercial/ferry travel.
But, might be a place

Mandy's landing is right down the hill accross from you right by anderson ferry! Try them and are you serious a scab!
The bullet will be cheaper to store few feet less!!http://www.offshoreonly.com/esvon/page-8794.html plus it has a trailer!

take it to cumberland...we kept a boat on the ohio....its in nooooo way compares at all to cumberland...the scenery, environment, water, boaters, friendliness, stuff to do, etc etc......the river is harsh on anything, for a stern drive perf boat, id never keep it in water on river.

I would LOVE to get into a Bullet, that is actually what I'm dreaming for. But the Scarab is a little closer to my price range.

What I'm looking for is a marina that will let me store the boat ( maybe even on just a "dunk" trailer (not intended for travel) - have a tie-up dock (if I want to leave it in for the weekend).

You might try Ludlow/Bromley Yacht Club..aka "The Goat Bar"
They have slips & nice docks. All the go-fasts seem to end up there on weekends anyway. :D

Constance Marina is down the hill from Hebron on Rt.8, 1/4 mile west of the ferry. We are getting a permit to completely repour the launch ramp and bring in a 28'x90' steel barge/dock. Currently we offer land storage with unlimited self launching and in-water slips. Once the barge/dock is in we'll be opening the "Soggy Bottom Bar". :drink:

i dont know where you are located on the ohio, but in louisville there is a restaraunt with a marina off rose island road where most of the go-fasts hang out, and they also have a thing where you keep your boat on a trailer in their lot and they have a tractor that brings it in and outta the water when you want for you.

I was going to suggest your place. I was wondering what was going on down there. I live across the river but pass your place going to the airport etc.
