B&M transmission 2 speed
They are 727 torqueflite transmissions. They were made by B&M in the early 90s before they closed there marine division. They blocked off first and park and use no torque converter. The governor and park gear is removed. Your local transmission guy will not be able to rebuild them for you. I did a lot of research on them after the local guy screwed with it and we melted it. I sent it to Rick at A&A Transmission 317-831-3066 aandatrans.com. He has built some for a guy that has 1600hp in an offshore racing boat. He makes all the parts. He has a valve body that is manual that is positive oiling and the shift pattern is R-N-2-D and has two less valves that can stick. He has all the parts to change it to roller bearing instead of bushings. Save your self a lot of time, money and just have A&A work on it.
We are running this behind an intercooled, supercharged bbc with a #3 ssm drive (1 to 1) 16.5x 28 four blade in a 27’ eliminator cat.

Shift those transmissions all you want. The default is second gear. The soleniod holds it in first gear, if it fails it goes to second (high) gear. I did a lot of research with the company and hi-perf transmission rebuilders. I say run them. If they blow replace them.
How the heck do you guys know how big those engines are???
Anybody want to guess what these are?
