Re: MTI has done it again!!!!
I saw the boat. It's beautiful. There was so much fabrication that went in to this. It may not be everyones taste but if you look at it in person, you would appreciate the work went into it. The oem gear shifters are throttles and the emergency brake handles are forward and reverse. The tiptronic shifters on the steering wheel controld the drives. Power mirrors, e ac blower motors to keep you cool at idle. Some hard work went into this!! I can't imagine how much money was spent on this! I would have to make a Kia version of it!

Re: MTI has done it again!!!!
Agreed, it is am amazing piece of work... And design.
My only questions was the "exhaust" tips.. Why the heck not make em functional, use em for water dumps or something? |
Re: MTI has done it again!!!!
Weather you would build this boat or not it is an incredible piece of work....NO ONE has an interior like that...
Whoever wanted their interior to look like a Benz they arent disappointed :drink: WOW! |
Re: MTI has done it again!!!!
Actually at the MTI booth I like Dave Scott's new turbined powered boat better if your going for nuts.
We talked and he mentioned he bought 4 /T-55 Turbines from the defunct Miss Budweiser program, "without the fuel restriction" they had to run in Unlimited Hydro. Mentioned they will start testing from his marina in March. That thing will be FAST. The enclosed cockpit look like it had 2 inch think glass and built like a tank... I think he got tired of Callan running fast at the shootout. Very impressive. Congrats Mr. Scott. The Mercedes thing was sweet too, a little too blingblingy for my skin color. Notwithstanding I don't have the Million and change to jam in a boat so more power to the one that does. |
Re: MTI has done it again!!!!
Id like a 69' Chevelle version......

Re: MTI has done it again!!!!
I'll take the Hyundia version...for the 10 year warranty :D !
Impressive boat for a styling excercise. But if I was to spend that kind of money, I would prefer something unique, rather than a copy of an existing platform. Not that I would complain if it was tied up to my dock!!! |
Re: MTI has done it again!!!!
This thought is a matter of conjecture......However,assuming Daimler Chrysler participated in commissioning this project, then that may be considered forward thinking......I would not be surprised to see this boat in a brochure, behind a Dodge,Freightliner,Sterling,Western Star,Mercedes Truck or one of their other subsidiary logo's......A brochure like that would be cherished by some and retained as a collectors item by others.....Regardless,that type of media may have a little mitigating influence on such things as insurance, speed restrictions and etc.
