Too bad the only way to get an Ace in the forseeable future is to buy it in the 700 package... atleast thats what the merc release said.

LOL, I was talking more about the drive complaints than the motor. The drive is underwater anyway!

Blue would have been better for the engine, but oh well. Maybe they have an option where you can get the Merc blue when you order a set?

We need to know:

1. Price ?

2. HP/TQ rating ?

3. Transmission or shiftable ?

4. Will it fit a transom cut for Bravo without modifications ?

5. Is the lower more efficient so we can learn to live with the worst lower ever produced ?

Now who has the inside ?

that lower looks pretty beefy to me. looks like a surface unit, kinda has the same bullet profile as the Weisman drive.

HMMMMM.....regarding the Merc motor, just buy a 500EFI and put a Whipple on top of it. Same power for at least HALF the price :D :D
