Come on, you have to give Merc some credit for improvements:

- improved front drive
- adapter plate to distribute flow evenly to intercooler
- larger intercooler
- port injection
- all on top of a "real" engine with forged pistons

This is not your Daddy's 496.

Custom JE blower pistons;
Scat H-beams;
polished crank;
ported and polished heads
The dyno numbers are as follows: 665 horsepower and 782 ft lbs of torque.

JS232: I was addressing the point that you could bolt a supercharger onto a stock 496 and equal the new 700SCi. Congratulations, you did it right, but you did have to rebuild the engine to do it. :D

I was wondering IF the Merc warranty is like the warranty on the XR/XZ drives that are with the 500 525 and 600 and were breaking and they would not warranty some of them :eek:
