According to the new Powerboat mag, Mercury has no future plans to sell the ACE as a stand-alone drive. According to the article it is only configured to fit their new 700's - and nothing else. It has something to do with the transmission not fitting the drive plate on any other engine but the 700's.

I'm bummed because I thought it was going to be a viable replacement for the bravo, without having to fork over $85K for their overpriced 700 hp.

From what I heard the Merc. ACE with be available as a stand alone some time in December of this year. The Drive will bolt up to a Bravo opening. It is a manual type transmission which is very interesting to me.

THe velocity had 815hp built on the west coast and konrads. That system is 80k complete with everything. Velocity is marketing just the engine and drive package as well. I saw the konrads on the elim, but didnt see the engines. im assumingi ts the same 815. konrad also had one in their booth. Their "Ace system" ranges from 559-815hp.
I have the spec sheet from the show if you want any more details

The Eliminator at the Miami show will be powered with the same 800 hp package as the 41' Velocity with the staggered Konrad Ace package.

This is a new engine package for Konrad. It's 632" Dart aluminum heads, naturally aspirated, port fuel injected, assembled with nothing but the best components to support 800 hp. In the right hands, it should provide 300+ hrs between rebuilds.
The entire Konrad package has been engineered for longevity with poker runners in mind.

Thumbs up Re: New 700SCi and New Merc Drive!!!

I kind of think our new HO725 engine is a better offering, couple it up with a Konrad or Imco SC1000 drive and you have spent only about $56K with closed cooling and one year warranty. Check out April issue Powerboat Magazine page 39.
Just thought I would plug our motor.
