I have lived on Lake Saint Clair all my life I would not live any where else!!!

Saint clair shores to algonac are all decent waterfront living.

I am transplant myself; I actually live North of Detroit, pretty rural (Lapeer). I have been out on Saginaw Bay and also out on Lake Huron, North of St. Clair. I have lived in St Louis and Chicago areas before and have to say the old motor city just does not do much for me. Are you looking at visiting relocating?

Huge variety in that area from beautiful to yuck.

If you have an opportunity there... and you don't mind cold winters, there are ways that you can meet your needs. Great lake and inland lakes. Sports. Music. Shopping. Food. Events.

Many different suburbs with different flavors and options. Especially north, west and south all the way down to almost Monroe. Downriver is nice.

Boating here is incredable! We have a trailer and boat on Lk. St Clair, Erie, Huron, Michigan. There are party places, bars and restaurants on the water. We also live on a small lake north of the city where we keep a water ski boat. Only problem is the long winter.

I moved out of the Detroit area almost 20 years ago. But there are plenty of good places for boating.
