It's an absolute must if you are in super hot climates but we love its functionality for the travel and overnights.

+1 on the bimini, mine is black and once up gives complete shade to the cockpit, and can be up while under way.
One of boating's "must have".

Do you offer Carbon Credits in bulk too? And just how is your "shading solution" going to reduce the energy consumption of my 2 Big Blocks?

I bought their white zip shirt and long pants. I wear bicycle gloves to keep the backs of my hands out of the sun. I found a huge wide brim ventilated hat which keeps the sun off my face very well.

I usually end up in a fight with the wife over the Anchor Shade. As soon as we are tied up or anchored I start putting it up and she starts complaining.

She hates it and I love it.

A Black Thunder sounds like a good boat for your family. Just get a bimini top and enjoy boating! And if you don't put it up at least the cabin of a Black thunder is VERY comfortable, plus you can still run 100mph easy!

It can be up while cruising but I wouldn't leave it up. It does give the boat a funny kite feel. The Bimini is the way to go. It is a great addition to our boat. Mine stores right up next to my radar arch. You can hardly tell its there.
Move to Vermont....
