DRIVING DIRECTIONS
From I-4 exit to Florida Turnpike southbound. Take Exit #244 the Kissimmee/St. Cloud exit. After the toll booth turn right (west) on US-192. Traveling north on the Florida Turnpike take Exit #242 to US-192. Turn left (west) on US-192. The Quality Inn Hotel is located on the south side of US-192 across the highway from the Kissimmee Steak House.

St Cloud Rotary Club Plans Spring Fling Parade
Thursday, February 23, 2006
Grissom, Chairperson, Rotary Club Parade Committee, has reported that planning is underway to sponsor a Grand Boat Parade as a featured event during the Spring Fling scheduled for March 30 –April 2, 2006.
Mr. Grissom said, “The Rotary Club is planning for a Grand Boat Parade on Saturday, April 1, 2006 starting at 10:00 a.m. on Dakota Avenue. The parade will travel east on Lakeshore Boulevard past the marina then turn south on Florida Avenue where it will disperse. Spectators will have an opportunity for an up close view of beautiful offshore racing boats that will participate in the Florida State Offshore Powerboat Race scheduled on East Lake Tohopekaliga for Sunday, April 2, at 1:00 p.m.”
Although the parade is named the Grand Boat Parade other units have appeared in the parade in past years and are expected to participate this year. Some of the units that have made an appearance in previous parades include members of the St. Cloud City Council, classic cars, antique boats, motorcycles, Osceola County Teacher of the Year, Ms. Silver Spurs, Smokey the Bear, Mayor Clayton from Give Kids the World, Bahia Shrine of Orlando clowns and other fun Shrine units, BMX Riders, local organization groups, police, fire and emergency rescue units.
Mr. Charles Green, Assistant Chairperson, Parade Committee extended an invitation for individuals, organizations and groups to participate in the parade. Mr. Green said, “All are welcome to join in the celebration of Spring Fling by being in the parade. All you need to do is call Mr. Grissom at 407-891-7833 by March 24, 2006 to reserve a parade line up location. There is no charge. Parade line up will take place on Dakota Avenue starting at 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2006.”
