Re: damn coast guard
The video keeps cutting out right before they .......... embrace. What happens?
And I thought you were suppose to give the right of way to the boat on the right? |
Re: damn coast guard
I think it's the other way, the little boat must give way to the bigger one in this case. I'll look it up in my Chapman's book. PS: Like hell that was a speedboat, I'm phukin tired of the media calling things like that a speedboat, it only drives up our insurance and makes us "look bad" to the rest of the world. That damn thing was a Pee Wee Herman special :evilb: :evilb: :evilb:

Re: damn coast guard
To me it's immaterial, who in this situation had the right of way. The Coast guard saw the other boat, and it's obvious that the other boat that was traveling was looking at the distressed boat in the opposite direction, NO REASON what so ever shalt have the coast guard boat kept traveling in that direction could have slowed down for 2 seconds, I think the video is B.S. Where is the common sense.

my thoughts exactly. seems like that could have been avoided |
Re: damn coast guard
The #1 rule is to avoid collision...The CG Captain saw the other boat & took no evasive steps. I bet he is back to swabbing decks now ! :D
