Great photo opportunity though...
SML needs navigational lessons, not driving lessons. Many uncharted hazards there.

If it is a lesson on big water, Bay, Ocean, I would love to run along side BillR, he is a safe boater, that is as long as BillR keeps it below 75... :-)

After the deaths this year at SML, a WOT schooling run may not be advised in a Power Boat..

Bryan

Maybe you should teach the class:rolleyes:

I've been boatin since I was 12. I know some things, but I am sure I will learn ALOT from someone who KNOWS how to run (and race) a performance boat properly. I am looking forward to it. Now, if I could think of a way to write it off as a business expense. . . . . . . . . :)

I have been boating for over 30years and i did learn a lot. and the good thing about the class is he teaches you why things happen, since i have a twin step boat i left with a good understanding about both ts and cats. i consider myself a very safe boater but i know there is always more to learn and i know the class was worth every penny.

Ditto! We looked at new houses and came to the quick realization that ours is pretty damn nice for what I am paying. So now we are thinking new kitchen. Plus it's time to replace my 9 YO Lexus with a new one. And if my boat sells.... :D

Texoma would be nice, how about a cheaper class for us Single engine, Single Step, Under 30ft Powerboaters?
You're classes seem to be more for the driver with bigger and much higher HP boat's running around 100MPH or over.

That is going to be happening here in the near future. Hold on for just a little while , It will be well worth it. We will have three stages of our class to offer. One being to the dealer, Two a class for the average mid size powerboat. And Three we already have going for the Ultra high performance class which is being taught each month. I will keep you posted! I have someone else that is involved in the works and he brings alot to the table. :D Stay tuned!

My boat is not in the 100mph range (80's) and there was a lot of good info for me.
The info on how to set the boat up while even running at 60 has made a big difference on the control and ride of the boat.
It was lot of money for me to spend but in the overall pic i think it was more than worth it.

Tres,
What are your thoughts about "The Ross's" Offshore school that has been recently advertised in Poker Runs America magazine?

Well I wish them good luck, I dont think they have the cat experience nor the years of R&D that I have put into but Hey they are nice folks. I feel that when your dealing with 5-6 ton leathal weapons that travels at high rates of speeds, you better get your info from someone that can lead you best. There is only on Tres Martin School. Fact is , Its not like the classes are overflowing and people waiting in line. They will see, and I think they are from canada and not sure if they can teach here. My class is insurance endorsed and Markel gives discount on the preimium for attending the class with good test scores. Unless you have taken the class, you will not know how good our class really is. I have devoted my life now just to saving what is left of our high performance boat rights , and you will see the other people I am bringing on board LOOK OUT! :D I am sure that others will try to start a school too, but wait till they try to get it off the ground with liability insurance  . Hopefully you did not bring this up for matters of starting a bunch of flack because I would like to keep all things positive, In fact I like the Ross family. So do not see this in the wrong light. BTW the class fee for either is the same, wouldnt you rather do it with the best!!!

Tres
