VHS freeze frame to dvd

I have 5 Freeze Frame (FF) vhs tapes that have great shots of my Jag when it was raced as Gifford Marine. I'd like to make photos of some frames, but think the vhs has to be copied to dvd first.

I also emailed FF for permission to copy the vhs', but haven't had any response.

Can you guys/gals help with some advise on how to make photos from the vhs?

Keep trying Freeze Frame. They hooked me up in the past.
