I think the name Powerplay came from one of the raceboats, a 32 cobra named "Powerplay" how they named that particular boat "powerplay" I have no idea.

Does that make sense?

He is a take charge kind of guy.....like he likes to be in charge or have "power" ....hence the name Powerplay. Do I really need to elaborate any more?

I was told that Powerplays came from the old Cobra hulls. Like this one in the picture, you can see the similiarities to the 33 PP (from what is left of it)

Yes, I've always heard the 32 cobra was streched and made into the 33 Powerplay.

I owned a 2001 T/S Gun, and it was hands down the best boat I have owned. If my Skater holds up and performs at the same level for as long as my Cig did I will be very happy.

I have also been in Semper Fi's Power Play and I liked the boat a lot. It handled rough water very well, and ran a good speed for the power it had.

If I was going to buy another V it would be a Cig but that is personal choice. I don't think you can go wrong with either boat.

I have been in some other big name boats that I would never own, and I think Semper knows one of the brands I am talking about.

I was making a joke. They all come from one another at some time.

Very few boats can compare. That's the reality.
The only one i have ever snooped around on was "Defyin Gravity"....It was over the top for sure !
Although..I dug around a new "Billet Edition"39 Cig at Cumberland Poker Run that held up with it. I would be proud to own either, for sure !
