28 Apache's for sale?
 

I have been looking all over the net and there is not much if anything for sale. There was a nice Brave for sale in Mi. last year, but I had to put a new deck on the house first - I called the guy last week and he sold the boat. Anyone know of any for sale? I am also looking at 28 Cigs but I would prefer a Brave.

good luck bud they are very but very rare. There was a time that i was looking for one to but there was nothing around. I ended up buying s 27 Mag and love it (glad i got the Mag instead). We had a 28 cig years agooo and loved it. you can't go wrong with either one. good luck with your search

have you looked at a 28 active thunder? i was looking for a 28 apache also couldnt find one that was not beat to death for to much money. 28 thunder is the way to go now. big cabin lots of freeboard fast and great looking. also pat is great to work with, look at some threads on Active thunder not one bad word aboutem.

Right on Mike. I'd really like to find an Apache. In 15 years, I' ve never seen one on the Chain of Lakes here in Northern Il.

You should also look at a 28 SABER, they are great boat. There is an awsome one for sale that need power and drives, call 1-231- 873-8500. We can set you up with drives and motors right here in Grand Haven. The Braves are nice but they are very hard to find, good luck.

last i heard (a year ago) there is a new, never rigged 28 apache a mel rigs. sorry, dont have the number but im sure someone else here can help. great boat!

Sorry but as of right now my 28 is not for sale. I have way too much time and $ in this boat, new trailer, both transom assem. and both motors are out right now for upgrades. :D I can't recieve PM's, I let my membership expire and have not had chance to renew.(that and all my $ tied up in the boat) It's all worth it though, best 28 in the rough you can get. Took me a long time to find mine and it has been worth every penny.

I spoke to Mel about 3 months ago and he still had the boat in a warehouse....never been wet!! I think he has motors and drives also, but I think they are not in the boat. Sorry, I don't have his #

They are really hard to find, my buddy just sold the last one made in 2003 and it sold in a week or two when it was listed. There is an awsome 28 pantera for sale on boattrader with an 850 and a #3a speedmaster. Good luck, Braves are really sweet boats, I shopped for them for years before I bought my first 36 APACHE.

How much are you looking to spend? I do love my boat but after some thought I guess it all comes down to "everything is for sale". The reason I ask is I have too much money in mine to give anyone a fair price right now but for me the 28 is worth it. Not the fastest, definitely not the best paint (esp. in my case) :D But it's an Apache, a baby Apache but still the baddest rough water boat in it's size. I thought I would never find one and also looked at 30 Panthers, 28 Pantera's, and 31 Scarab Vipers, nice one in the classifieds now. Also if you are interested in new school I would look at Warlocks.

I don't want to spend more than 35 - 40K. The Brave for sale in MI last year was a 96 (I think - maybe newer) in great shape for close to 30k. I didn't realize how hard it was going to be to find another one. Boy am I an idiot!!!

Thats the problem, they are tough to find. Thats about what I spent but I have put alot of work and $ into it sice then. I know I could of found a faster boat for that but it wasn't an Apache. If you find one, jump on it quick. They are worth it. Mine runs with much bigger and faster boats when it gets rough. My paint, although "unique" is all original as well as the interior. I just can't bring myself to paint it. Just make it faster!

I can't sell the Apache, at least not until I can afford a 41! So I guess I'll never sell the 28 :drink:
