I remember the boat, but no idea to its wearabouts. Perhaps ask Phil at LipShip.

Re: flat deck race bullet!

I know exactly the one you are refering too. A friend was interested in it. It's the purple one with a hint of yellow and checkers going down the side. Staggered Inovation 650's I believe. It was a sweet little ride. Only two flat deck Bullets made. I think Tres raced it and Glenn Martin had some knowledge on it. There was some issues with handling (liked to chine walk). It was for sale at Lake Cumberland for a long time then went to the Aqua Toy Store where it was sold less than a year ago. They were asking like 65k for it or something. I really liked that boat. Looked like it'd be fun in the rough!

it ran 92 with 2 staggerd Hawk Marine 510's in it, my father was the one that originaly rigged that boat at the Cig Factory back in 1993

DonziFreak 08-09-2007 10:44 PM

ok, anyone that wants to know the history of this boat, here it goes! its a 93 Bullet with a flat-deck (one of only 2 ever made), Craig Barrie had it built for my father and his cousin for 30k, the deal was that they'd have to rig it themselves, but that the factory was all theirs after work hours, so my father and the navigator staggered 2 Hawk-Marine 510 engines in there, mounted bravo 2 drives, and had the same paint scheme it has now done for $500 (tho in the original colors which were purple with green pin-striping and the checkard flag going across the deck and down the sides), they raced it in B class as B-124 and were known as Team Cigarette, they raced it from 1994 until the death of one of their best friends in 1996.....at that point it went to puerto rico, raced there as the coca-cola boat, then came back to the states at some point. and now i'm here searching for the fate of this boat....it had the 3-man standing cockpit and the original interior was a light purple (to go along with the paint)
the picture above is the only one i've been able to confirm is actualy her...but she might be blue and yellow now with a 3 man standing cockpit that is yellow, but the flag on her deck should stand out...she was the first racing cig to have it....she suffers from a serious case of "chine walk" and runs about 92 full out, again, any info is greatly appreciated!

It was ran as team hoggs breath a few years ago. I also do remember seeing it at the aqua toy store. At that time White Lightning was also there.

I FORGOT ABOUT THAT! i forgot that she ran as the hog's breath boat!!! thanks for the refresher!!

and i don't know what became of the other Oldthunder....

DonziFreak 08-09-2007 11:16 PM

man, everything in those pics is the same as we had it, the purple fuel tanks and engines.... the purple sides.....looks like it may be the green pinstripping also.....but might be yellow, its a damn shame the interior is yellow, the original light purple was gorgeous with the boat! funny thing is he kept the green outlining on the front with a purple Cigarette?....

DonziFreak 11-15-2007 08:12 PM

is there any new info on this boat?

thisistank 07-15-2011 02:14 PM

Bump....Anyone?

no limits 02-12-2012 11:03 PM

Thought I heard it went to NY somewhere. Boat is a 1994 and had Hawk 550 HP originally Raced as "Pipewelders". Later Had Frank's Marine 650 as Hogs Breath. Engines were later Freshened by Innovation. Cool boat.

DonziFreak 03-30-2013 09:21 PM

Sorry to revive such a old dead thread, but does anyone know where this boat is now?...

The boat is a 93 and was originally "Team Cigarette", she later had Pipewelders on her and High Seas Technology at one point too while we owned her.... (Although the two companies are under the same ownership) I now work for Pipewelders/High Seas tech....

shaun harrington 03-30-2013 09:29 PM

I think there was a staggered bullet at Hyannis marina on cape cod a few years ago, it was owned by on of the guys that worked there pretty sure the boat was purple. I don't think he works there anymore but somebody probably knows where the boat or employee ended up.

thisistank 03-31-2013 08:25 AM

I ask about this boat every year or so to see if anyone has seen it or knows of it's location. It seems to be a ghost.

Except I'm looking for the actual boat my father actually assisted in building and actually raced.....lol, so problem isn't solved.

thisistank 08-10-2016 02:39 PM

Funny you brought this up. I was just thinking of reviving it the other day for the annual bump. Lol.

I love this boat. Things super cool. Wish they built more bullets with the gun esqe deck. Great lines.

I would think this would be a pretty large undertaking. Not to mention dumping money into a hole you'd never get it out of again.

caseyh 08-10-2016 07:26 PM

Deffently a undertaking. This boat is more elusive the sunkens apache

302Sport 08-15-2016 05:27 PM

Post a picture of it over in powerboat swap shop on Facebook. I'm sure you will find it.
