Bad luck on first day out...

Took the boat out yesterday for the first trip of the year. we were in a hurry, because we had somewhere to be at 5:00pm, and my foot is broken and in a cast. BUT BY GOD WE WERE GOING!!!

Got out, picked up some friends and after about 45 minutes, I blew an engine -- rods hanging out of both sides!!! Dammit!

that sucks. Don't need no stinkin foot to throttle a boat anyways. But a running motor will help. Good luck on both repairs.

Sounds like what I did on our first run last year......didn't push a rod through, but it required an entire rebuild. On a good note: our first run of THIS year was today and everything went well. Good Luck getting her back together.
