1994 Scarab Sportster 26'
Anyone have any knowledge of this boat? Good / bad???
Looking at purchasing one. It has had allot of upgrades done but I think the asking price is still a little high and he is not very flexible. |

I don't know that particular boat (If it is advertised on Boattrader) but I have a 1989 26 foot Sportster. I think they are actually "Sprint". Anyway, I really like mine but i have twin 200's. Friend of mine has a single 225 and it feels and more importantly looks under powered especially if you have a few people on it. The freeboard is relatively low but in general, a good multi purpose boat. I think it is more like 28 ft. overall, not 30.

One of those motors was built using parts from my collection of merc stuff. Guy shows up on a saturday to buy a used alternator, and ends up loading the back of his truck with parts, and my wallet with cash:drink: |
