it worth 5 years after it leaves the showroom and how much money did it cost you to own that boat for 5 years ( in real dollars ). When your talking about buying used, the boat has already depricated. Like anything they the price tends to level out after 5 years. |
Re: Do Cigs have superior resale value?
When I was in high performance brokerage boats years ago in Ft. Lauderdale, a clean, used Cigarette listing was Gold!
The sticker shock after a boat show made more than one brokerage deal for me. A clean boat of another brand was not as easy to sell. I had some immaculate listings that just sat month after month. One guy from Long Island came down to see me. He had been shopping for a HP boat for months. So many salesmen said: "It's just as good as a Cigarette", when trying to sell him their brand, that he came to me specifically for a Cigarette. It certainly doesn't hurt that the name "Cigarette" has become the generic term for the kind of boat we love. |

Do you really loose less money on A Cig than any other brand ? Why is it just used ones that that everyone uses as an example? Someone has to buy them new!!!! Otherwise there wouldnt be any used ones. Right???? |
