Bottom line... If you're "that" worried about depreciation, you're not ready for one of these. Maybe you should wait a few years, seriously; or buy a smaller, less expensive boat for now. Whatever you do.... getting "ancy" usually predicts making a bad decision. Happy boat hunting; and... if you do buy a Cig., I'm sure you'll be welcomed by everyone (we even welcomed Clay Washington!!!! :D ).

Rick, you are my best friend and a big trouble maker !! You know the answers but just wanted to push a few buttons and aggitaite some certain Cig owners. it worked and Im laughing my ass off.
The answer is simple All boats take a huge hit the first 3-4 years If your older boat is still in great shape and is of a quaility brand you shouldnt get hurt to bad on resale If its a older Cigarette in good shape you will do real good on resale ...and there is a market for them, so you wont have them for sale to long. I dont see to many older Fountains that are in real good shape being givin away, they seem to be holding there value ok, maybe just takes a little longer to sell |
