Insurance rate increase for 06

Just got my bill, it went up 40% in one year. Never a claim in 15 years. Is this what everyone else is seeing?

Everyone who got a rediculous price increase should drop their insurance.
Just say no to overpriced insurance.

Mine shot up 28% in December with Progressive. My buddy's just got his for 11K up from 6K last year on a 38 with 525's.
I think the hurricane excuse is convienent for the insurers being that they have collected for years (since 1992, Andrew) and now they are upping the rates to make up for losses. What about the discounts for the insured for the past 13-14 years of no claims/ high profits?

I live in the land of wool sock and birkenstock wearing, starbucks drinking Subaru driving toadstool huggers. We don't have the Natural disaster (boat injuring type) problem anywhere near here.
