Brother looking for first Boat

My younger brother is looking for his first sport / performance boat so I figured I would go to my OSO brothers for some good leads here is the criteria:

24-30 feet, trailer, clean, age doesn't matter, and under 30K, and we are in Maryland but will do a road trip for the right boat

Any help would be appreciated i just don't want him to buy a lemon or a hot rod that he can't afford to fix when it breaks. He doesn't make alot of money so I don't want him working on it every weekend I want out enjoying the boating experience with friends.

Thanks in advance

Sloman

This boat belonged to a good friend of mine before he sold it to the guy in New York. The boat received a lot of TLC when Eric (CheckmateF1 here on OSO) owned it, and the guy who owns it now in NY bought it sight unseen. I'd look hard at it if I were in that market.

Its got a lot of custom touches. The windshield plexi was removed, and a custom made faring was put in place. The rigging is really sharp (I helped Eric put the motor in) and the paint is sharp. The trailer was custom ordered when it was here in VA, as well as the Extreme Marine swim platform. Its a great trailer, just basic galvanized wheels, so don't let that detract you. The interior was replaced with an updated Checkmate interior as well; bolsters and backseat.

BTW, I have nothing to do with the boat, or the seller, I just have always liked the boat.
