Texoma Houseboats?

Texoma Houseboats?
Anyone know of any good deals for houseboats on Texoma? Kicking around the idea of getting one. Looking for a Stardust, Fantasy, Sharpe etc... at least 14 X 60 and priced under 200K that can be lived upon for up to 2 weeks with 4 people and with at least twin V-6s. Are they real popular there?

It is because of the strength? I know the aluminum ones are weaker than the other.... I have looked at Bluewater before... I just prefer the others. Will it be too rough on Texoma for the Sharpes etc?

I broke a lot of glasses on Texoma in a 47 Harbor Master, nothing like coming down stairs to broken glass. I drive a 52 Harbor Master now pretty often and it seems to handle the rough okay. The big aluminum boats dont go fast enough to get into any trouble, just hard to come by up here. I think there may be 4 or 5 on the lake and 2 of them are charter boats.

Masher,
The Aluminum houseboats don't work on Texoma because it get's to rough. Your best bet for now (and cheaper) is Tanglewood Resort. For heavy drinker (not that you are) they run a shuttle from the bar at Highport up the hill to your room.
If you need a two bedroom air conditioned floating condo on the water, that you could actually park in front of the bar, drive to the gas dock with out knocking it over, can load up with trailer park girls for a trip to the Islands, push a button to drop anchor and film porno on, I have that unit available. Fit's in a 40' slip (less money) and under 50k delivered to Texoma. You can get all your money back on this one
at resale time. VeeCat
