Have Turbine's, hull required
I have access to a pair of T-58 turbines and are wondering what hull would make the best choice for this project if I decide to go forward with it. Nothing shorter the a 32 & nothing bigger then a 44 & that may be pushing it. I also want to keep the costs reasonable so would be looking a used hull.
Let's here your suggestions.
Thanks,
Steve

Bam Bam,
We're putting together one of our 32' Y2K's with a T58 coupled to a Sage #8 surface drive. The Sage can handle 1500 ft.lbs. The deck is almost done and we start the hull next week

As far as insurance goes, I think I will have to self insure, some people have said Rick Felson insures turbines but if not I will self insure.

Thanks Rick, looks like a great project you have going with the Y2K. The sage # 8's seem like the right way to go.
Any suggestions for the right hull to run this set up in?

39 ft chris craft stinger w/ arnesons would be awesome if ya dont mind me asking, how much $$$ do u plan on paynig for the turbines? how much $$ do u want to spend overall for the entire? that would make a lot easier to get choices down. where do you boat? do you want just speed? cat or vee? stepped or straight? light or heavy?
