Spectre 32or 36?
 

whats your pick? What do you like or dislike?Anyone have any first hand knowledge how the ride is between the two?Seem to big pretty good deals on the 2006 32.I would have to lean for canopy though,getting blasted in the face with wind doesnt agree with the family.I guess a 36 would be a better ride.The 32's dont seem to sell that fast why?I like the seating on the 32.My buddy has a 30 with 500hp's ,I want a little more stability and he has no windscreen at all.If the ride is harsh and the kids blow around like kites,then Im out.

Both are sweet boats. I 'd have a 32 myself if it wasn't for the high insurance rates :rolleyes:

Both are beautifull boats. I don't think you can get canopies on the 32, but the windshield is suppose to work great. The styling on the interior of the 32 is also a little fresher(IMO). I would lean towards the 32.

Both are nice boats, just depends on where you boat. The 32 was built because of the customers request for a smaller boat than the 36 but one that rides almost the same. The 36's I have been around do the same as a 30, they will hop, even with a tunnel tab until they pack enough air to stop it. Depending on load, could be 55-70 mph. Jay said that the 32 will not hop at all. If its hopping you have trimmed the boat wrong. The 36 can handle rougher water than the 32. As far as wind in the seating area, Jay also said that they had to put naca ducts to pipe fresh air into the seating area because it got so warm behind the windshield. I would lean to the 32 unless you do alot of boating where its very rough. The best test is to go out in both of them, you will know right away which boat suits your needs. Good luck.

There is a gentleman on my lake that has a 36' with 800's(I think) that you could get a very good deal on if you are interested...boat is 3 or 4 years old.

I have always been a deep v guy.The cat is starting to look interesting.I also dont want to spend anymore than 150-200k.
My current boat has stock 500 efis,and that suits me fine.I dont want to be in the engine compartment every trip(been there done that).The 32 with Ilmors would probably be my 1st choice 525 merc 2nd.The 36's on the market have 575 blower motors which may not be a good sell point.Perhaps thats why they are not moving too fast.Im not against big horsepower,just want reliable Na i f possible if I lean towards the 36.Im assuming the 32 with Ilmors would run125mph

Ive got my 32 with Illmors for sale in OSO classifieds, PM me if you want any info on it, Insurance isnt a problem anymore on that boat

That sounds good to me,I have a plumbing co,building co,life ins,builders risk,and every other ins known to exist.
My new insurance co(broker)isnt doing me any justice.

I would probably solidify the insurance first anyway.42 yrs old 1 accident no tickets.20 yrs on boat operation.No cats though,would also take Tres martins class if I move forward to be on the safe side.I also have a small problem(38 feet of formula to trade).Im not too worried about the formula.(mint)

Extreme Marine in Az, Silver, red and charcoal boat in classifieds, sold on a MSO. The shop that painted the boat [Deano's] paints all the Borguett[sp?] Bikes, needs to be seen to be appreciated

I have 2 boys7-10 and A girl 2.Im used to having a cabin,to put all of the junk in.Thats why I also asked about stability,If my wife thinks its too scary then parties over.I dont intend to go fast with the family onboard anyway.

But when its time to hammer it I will!!.The water down here is perfect for a cat, glass most of the time,plenty of room to run,and occasional 2-3 footers.This will only be poker run boat anyway.Pontoon boat for family.
